Steve Hellem, Sustainability Solution Providers

Steve Hellem is the President of Navista, Inc., The Public Affairs Group a Washington, DC-based public affairs firm specializing in coalition and association management, communication and public relations, regulatory and legislative advocacy, corporate representation and strategic counseling and facilitation.

Navista is a full service public affairs firm that operates on a value base of honesty and integrity that is committed to the success and growth of our clients and our employees.

He serves as the Director of Sustainability Solution Providers that connects former senior environmental, health and safety and sustainability executives with domestic and global companies, organizations and governmental entities needing senior level counsel and strategic guidance in order to meet their sustainability objectives.

In addition, Steve has more than 30 years of experience providing strategic counsel, organizational management and leadership to business associations and coalitions.  He has helped create and managed a wide range of business coalitions and associations from multiple business sectors.

One of his specialties is working with companies to organize and address global and domestic environmental, health and safety and sustainability objectives.  He maintains close working relationships with senior EH&S and corporate environmental sustainability professionals from a wide range of Fortune 100 companies.  He presently provides strategic and management leadership and support for the  Global Environmental Management Initiative (GEMI) (www.gemi.org) , the Corporate Environmental Enforcement Council (CEEC) (www.ceecinc.org) , and the Suppliers Partnership for the Environment (SP) (www.supplierspartnership.org) .  He also helped organize the Retail Industry Leaders Associations (RILA), Retail Sustainability Initiative (RSI).

Steve has an AB in Political Science from the University of Missouri and a J.D. from the International School of Law that is today the George Mason University School of Law.
